The wall in turn 1/2 and the backstretch is new. Around 2007-2010 it was all open in that area.

Moulton is a good little bull ring but about 20 years ago or so it went down hill bad and it’s been really hard to bring it back up. It used to be a Saturday night track and average about 80-120 cars a night, with the economy and everything turning to series it has definitely hurt local racing. But the tracks main problem is time I went there once this year and no cars touched the track until 8-8:30pm and no competitive laps where run until after 12am the races didn’t end until 3-4am. Most local fans don’t want to be at a track past 12pm. That was my 6 year old son’s first race and he didn’t even get to see a race because it was so late and he couldn’t make it that long.

It was good to get the cobwebs off the late model regardless of the competition. They may say the rain kept them away. I think it was because they knew they would be racing for second.
